Providence, RI – Elsie Desmarais, age 80 of Cranston, RI, formerly of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at The Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center. Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Maria (Cordeiro) and Joseph Correiro and worked as the Office Manager at The Kennedy Donovan Center.
Her family includes her 3 children: Melanie Mello and her partner, Jonathan Williams, of Cranston, RI, Paula Riding of Taunton and Michael J. Desmarais and his wife, Andrea, of Uxbridge, Ma; 5 grandchildren: Meghan and Riley Mello, Spencer and Braden Riding, and AJ Desmarais; siblings John Correiro and his wife, Margaret, and Irene Macedo and her husband, Luis, both of Dartmouth, as well as being predeceased by several other siblings.
Elsie will be cremated and services are omitted. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
In remeberance of Elsie, the family has asked those who knew her to drink a cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee in her memory.
