Stanley J. Malinowski of Lakeville, formally of Stoughton died on January 7th, 2015 at the age of 78. Stubborn as a mule to the very end he was surrounded by his family at the time of his passing. Stanley is survived by his wife Mary of 57 years, his sons Richard, Stanley Jr, Kenneth, Michael, his daughter Ann Marie and her spouse Cathy, brother Teddy and his wife Nelda, his sister Marcella, 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, friends Brian, Dorothy, Cathy, Nancy, Margaret, Debbie and many close cousins.
Born to the late Florian and Edwina (Hepke) Malinowski, Stanley graduated from St. Mary's High School where he exceled in sports and was a member of the American Legion Post 53 championship baseball team, which he followed up until his death. He was born with a green thumb, was an exceptional golfer, and a true fan of all New England sports teams. He was passionate about politics. He served in the US Army for two years and, was a proud American who loved his country.
Visiting Hours will be held on Saturday January 17th from 9:00am - 10:45am at Taunton Funeral Home, 8 Crapo St. (off Tremont St./Route 140) Taunton 508-821-7771. A memorial prayer service will take place following the visitation in the funeral home at 10:45am. Burial will be held privately. Online condolences may be made at www.tauntonfuneral.com.
