Obituary

June (Yetman) Witkum, 85,passed away peacefully at Wingate at Andover on January 5th. June was the beloved wife of Stanley (Bopo) Witkum. She was born in Chelsea, MA, but had resided in Methuen for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Ruth Woolaver. She was the loving sister of Thelma Condon of Methuen and Loretta Griffin of Chelsea. She will be sadly missed by her dear friend Carol Newton of Methuen.

June was a homemaker who loved all animals, especially all the many dogs and cats that she rescued throughout her life. She was an avid supporter of many causes, but especially for animals and also contributed to various Native American charities. She was an avid reader and was well known to the neighborhood children as the "reading lady". Her greatest joy was having all the neighborhood children play in her yard starting in the early 60's. Perfect , sunny days when she could watch the kids petting Rotondo's cows in the nearby pasture from her kitchen window or to be able to look out to the sandbox under her maple tree and see the beautiful Latulippe, Vallera and Hibbard children all playing together, just having fun with not a care in the world.

She will be sadly missed by her entire family including her cherished sons and their wives Jack and his wife Danielle, Dale and his wife Theresa, Scott and his wife Debra, all of Methuen. Glenn and his wife Sharon of Salem, NH and Randy of Candia, NH.
Her many grandchildren include Shannon Witkum, Valerie Witkum, David and his wife Tanya Witkum, Krista and her husband Rob Hannon, Sheena and her husband David Courage, Tanya Witkum, James Witkum, Kevin Witkum and Jack Witkum as well as her beloved great grandchildren Ava, Brody, Jayden, Emma, Luke, Ella, and Emilia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
