Obituary

Muriel P. Dusablon 93, formerly of 429 East School St. died Saturday, January 3, 2014 at the home of her daughter under the care of Beacon Hospice. She was the wife of the late Eugene Dusablon. Born in Blackstone, MA she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Clara (Hudon) St. Gelais. Muriel was a twister for the French Worsted Co. for sixteen years, she also worked as a charger in the braising room for Automatic Machine Products before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the St. Germain Manor Club and a former member of St. Ann’s Ladies Guild.

Muriel is survived by her son, Normand Dusablon and his wife Diane of Oakland, her daughter Evelyn Cournoyer and her husband Andy of Woonsocket, a sister Yvonne Marquis of N. Smithfield, four grandchildren, Tina Bianco, John Dusablon, Kerry Sabatino, and Keith Cournoyer, and eight great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Joshua, Tiara, Matthew, Justin, Ashley, Brooke, and Arianna. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Lynn Dusablon and siblings, Constant, Raoul, and Lionel St. Gelais, Therese Gauvin, Constance Girard, and Germaine Fregeau.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, Olo St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7 PM.
