Bess M. Herman (Bishop) age 88 of Canton passed away January 2nd at the Epoch of Sharon surrounded by her loving family. Born in Orange, MA she graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School and Bryant and Stratton Secretarial School in Boston. She retired in 1991 after working for Bay State Gas Co. in the Accounts Payable Department. She previously worked as the secretary for the Canton Community Kindergarten and the Canton Public Schools for many years. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Canton, the Eastern Star and the Canton Garden Club. Beloved wife of 69 years of Warren L. Mother of Barbara J. Aron and her husband Jeff of Longmeadow and Nancy Fennessey of Canton. Sister of the late Charles E. Bishop. Grandmother of Derek, Jillian and Chad Fennessey and Emily, Jacqueline and Allison Aron. Also survived by 3 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 3-7 pm. Funeral service at the United Church of Christ 1541 Washington St. Canton Wednesday morning at 11. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
