METHUEN – Ruth E. (Andrews) DeFrancesco, 90 of Methuen, passed away Tuesday December 30, 2014 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Julia (Cunha) Andrews and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, Class of 1942. For 20 years, Ruth was a sales clerk at the former Zayres Department Stores. She was an attendant of the former Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lawrence, MA. Ruth was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed life, especially her summers at Salisbury Beach.
The widow of Salvatore J. DeFrancesco, she is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Ann E. Tulley of Methuen and Carol A. Tulley and her husband Joseph M. also of Methuen, MA . Grandchildren, Raymond III, Luke and his wife Lauren, Joseph, Jr., and Rachel Tulley; great-grandchildren, Aliana, Jameson and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be Monday from 9:00a.m. – 10:45a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00a.m. in St. Monica’s Church in Methuen, MA with burial to follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
