James I. Avellino age 68 of Rochester, formerly of Hyde Park passed away suddenly December 30th at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford. Born in Boston he was raised in Roslindale, graduated from Roslindale High and attended Quincy Jr. College. He lived many years in Hyde Park before moving to Rochester 2 years ago. He was in the property management business in the Boston area for many years. He was a member of the Fogg Post in Hyde Park and the Shriners Masonic Lodge in Boston. He had his single engine private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying. Husband of the late Nancy (Butler). Beloved Father of Tanya Avellino Wright of Rochester. Grandfather of Andrew Avellino, Kyle and Alison Wright. He is survived by his twin brother Frank S. Avellino of Canton and his sister Louise LoPilato of Canton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends invited to attend visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday 4-8 pm. Funeral services private.
