Burton F. Briggs, age 78, passed away after a short illness on December 28, 2014. Burton was the beloved husband of Leanne (Martell) Briggs and the loving father of Andrew Briggs and his wife Sheryl of Rockland, Cathylee Maser and Linda Briggs of Weymouth and Robert Briggs of Randolph. He was the loving grandfather of Amy (Briggs) Christianson and her husband Andrew, Jon Briggs and his wife Rita, and Christopher Briggs and his wife Jaclyn. Burton was also the great grandfather to Hailey, Jason, Lindsey, Paige and Benjamin. He was the loving son of the late Hattie M. Briggs and the brother of the late George and Frank Briggs.
Burton was born in Littleton, NH and lived in Weymouth most of his life. He was the owner of Braintree Cleaning Contractors until he retired. Burton had many friends and loved his dog Tulla.
Visiting will be held at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth on Wednesday, December 31 from 9:30 to 10 AM immediately followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
