Mrs. Estella M. “Dutchie” (Shepard) Cote, of Raynham, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 21 in Morton Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Norbert Cote. She was born 90 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Earl and Estella (Coe) Shepard. She was educated in Taunton and had been a Raynham resident for the past 61 years. Dutchie was a former member of the Chester A. Bearse Post #405 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Raynham. She enjoyed bowling, gambling and dancing.
She leaves: 4 daughters: Sandra Grivois and her husband, Joseph of Lacanto, Fla., Diane Mulhern and her husband Joseph of Taunton, Rachelle Hastings and her husband, James of Raynham, and Patricia Ferreira of Raynham; 2 brothers: Elwood Shepard and his wife, Mary of Taunton, and Eugene Shepard of Fall River; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Esther Bourget, Evelyn Wilbur, Edmond, Earl, and Everett Shepard.
A Funeral Service will be conducted at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Saturday, December 27 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
