Robert M. Blomstrom, age 31, a lifelong resident of Norton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 17, 1983, he was the cherished son of Robert J. and Gail A. (Palmer) Blomstrom of Norton. He was educated in Norton schools and was a 2002 graduate of Taunton High School.
Bob spent the majority of his working career in the carpentry and construction fields and also had been employed in landscaping. Along with his family, he had attended St. Mary’s Church in Norton.
Bob loved spending time with his family; especially in the presence of his niece and nephew. He also enjoyed fishing and kayaking.
When younger, he expressed a great passion for drawing, and as a teenager was a familiar sight with friends; skateboarding, skiing and snowboarding.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted sister Michelle M. Freeman of Norton. He was the dear grandson of Rose Marie Palmer of Bourne. He was the adoring uncle of Tyler D. Blomstrom-Freeman and Mariyah G. Freeman both of Norton. He was the loving nephew of Richard Palmer of Salem, Lorraine Graziano of Brockton, Nancy Glory of Bourne, Ronald Blomstrom of Concord, NH, and Paul Blomstrom of Port Richie, Florida. He is also survived by several cousins and his loyal and best friend “Roxy”
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday, December 27th at 10:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 26th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
