Irene (Nottingham) Brown, 83, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villiages, Florida, she was 83.
Born in Buras, Ky, she was a homemaker and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William Keith Brown (USAF). Our mother was a devoted and very proud military wife. She happily followed dad to each new assignment. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her three loving daughters, Connie Peake (David) of The Villages, FL, Vicki Bean (Larry) of Royston, GA and Kimberly Brown of Oxford, FL; grandchildren, Troy Peake, Louisville, KY, Trent Peake, Sanibel, FL, Jerrit (Nina) Askvig, Burke, VA, Courtney Askvig, Webster City, IA, Justin (Emily) Askvig, Goldfield, IA and Shelby Brown, Oxford, FL; great-grandchildren, Jakob, Lukas, Harley, Alexis, Madeline and Wyatt; brother, William Nottingham; sisters, Margaret Mercer, Diann Manning and sisters-in-laws, Thelma Banet (Bob) and Wilma Jackson.
Her funeral service will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.; visitation will be from 11:00am Saturday until service time.
Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery.
Her favorite charity was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
