Adam M. Sanders, 91, of Anderson died December 17, 2014 at Community Hospital in Anderson after a brief illness.
He was born February 26, 1923 in Commerce, Missouri to Mack Watson and Amelia (Sander) Sanders.
He worked for Byrum Construction as a finish carpenter; Inland Fisher Guide 21 years as a carpenter.
He was a member of the Anderson Garden Club; part of the Sunshine Boys who visited 12 nursing homes a month; he was a member of Pathways Sunday School Class at Park Place Church of God; volunteer at Community Hospital 18 years; driver for Med Express; Rise-n-Shine at South Meridian Church of God he attended the Wednesday Morning Prayer Breakfast at Perkins and was a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity.
He is survived by his three children: Charlotte (Jim) Yoder; Paul M. (Betty) Sanders and Brenda (Marvin) Ginn all of Anderson; brother, Raymond P. (Jean) Sanders of N. Ft. Myers, FL; six grandchildren, Gregory Talkington; Lisa (Brian) Scott; Heather (Brian) Sullivan; Hannah Mercer (Jason) Dillman; Kevin (Misty) White and Brian (Jama) White; sixteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Georgia (Campbell) Sanders on Nov. 4, 2011; two grandsons, Jeff Talkington and Michael Talkington; brother, Leroy Sanders; three sisters, Viola Tessman; Ruth Hitt and Dorothy Curry; great grandson, Michael Andrew Mercer.
Services will be held 11 am on Monday, December 22 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. David Markle and Rev. Phil Bruzzese of Park Place Church of God officiating. Entombment will be in East Maplewood Cemetery Mausoleum.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 21, from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Christian Center or Wounded Warriors.
