Obituary

Joseph M. Cremens, a resident of Medford for over 20 years and formerly of Cambridge and Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, December 15, 2014 in his home in Medford. He was 61 years old.

Joseph was born in Boston on January 13, 1953, a son of the late Joseph D. Cremens and Catherine V. (Casey) Cremens. He grew up in Cambridge where he was educated in the Cambridge Public School system and graduated from Ringe Technical High School in 1972 where he was a member of the hockey team. Joseph furthered his education and attended Boston State College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Joseph is a former 5 year employee of the Middlesex County Sheriff's Department, and a former employee for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Corrections. He most recently was working as a Financial Consultant for various charities. Joseph was a fan of all sports especially hockey and golf. Joseph was a very generous and spiritual man, who placed a high value on family.

Joseph is the beloved brother of Mary Cremens-Maher of Waltham, Ellen Cremens of Medford, Catherine Cremens-Fico of Cambridge, Margaret "Peggy" Cremens-Smith of Medford, Elizabeth Parks of Malibu CA, and the late Thomas Cremens. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph's Funeral on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Cambridge Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
