Methuen – William F. Glynn, Jr. passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston. He was 70 years old and the beloved husband of Joanne (Dirienzo) Glynn, to whom he was married for 46 years.
Born in Cambridge, MA on July 15, 1944, William was the son of William and Helen (Higgins) Glynn. He worked as an HVAC mechanic at Textron Systems in Wilmington for 20 years until his retirement. He was a communicant at St. Patrick's Church in Lawrence, where he volunteered as an usher. William was also an avid sports fan.
William will be deeply missed by his wife, Joanne; 2 daughters, Kristine Glynn of Boston and Carolyn Carleton and her husband, Paul of Northborough; 2 sons, Jon Glynn of Winthrop and Jim Glynn of Boston; 2 sisters, Pat Brown and her husband, Dave of Dracut and Sheila Badolato and her husband, Richard of Danvers; 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Christopher, and Kailey; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate William's life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen on Sunday, December 21st from 2-6 PM. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Francis Church, 115 Wheeler Road, Dracut on Monday, December 22nd at 9 AM. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Burlington.
