Nunzio J. Puleo age 89 of Canton passed away December 15th at the Norwood Hospital. Born in Johnstown, PA, he was raised in S. Boston and has lived in Canton for 29 years. He attended Boston Schools and Calvin Coolidge Portia Law in Boston where he received his BS in Manufacturing. He was a Navy Veteran of WW II. Nunzio and his brother founded and operated Commercial Sheet Metal Co. in Canton for many years before retiring. He was a member of the Board of Directors for Blue Hill Regional High School and a talented musician that played the saxophone and clarinet. He played in a band that performed at weddings and for officers at military functions. Beloved husband of Mary A. (Musa). Father of Jean M. Chandler and her husband Richard Sr. of Canton, Joseph A. Puleo of Sharon and Robert A. Puleo and his wife Margaret of Braintree. Brother of Gaetano Puleo of Marshfield. Grandfather of Richard Chandler Jr., Jennifer Bishop, Robert Puleo, Ashley Arcand and Alison Goss. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Wednesday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Thursday morning at 10. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. Navy Veteran WW II.
