Obituary

Mattingly, Raymond F. 85 of Louisville. On December 12, in the evening, with his immediate family surrounding him.

Raymond F. Mattingly died of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Born in Nelson County, KY on October 28, 1929,Raymond is predeceased by four siblings, Hayes Mattingly, Daniel Mattingly, Virl Thomas, and Margaret McClain; and a grandson, David Tyler Clay Puckett.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Sue Baugh Mattingly, their daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Floyd Bynum of Louisville, Allison and Stan Puckett of Pekin, IN and by two granddaughters, Katie and Elizabeth Puckett. He is also survived by two sisters, Dolly Richardson and Delcie Humes of Taylorsville, brother, J. Paul Mattingly of Fisherville and a host of nieces and nephews.

Raymond served in the US Army Signal Corps and, after thirty-four years, retired from the Fischer Packing Company. He was an ordained Baptist deacon. Raymond was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He had a passion for nature which showed through his love of gardening and
animals large and small.

His Funeral Service will be 1 pm Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Rd.
Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Shelby County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 pm and Wednesday from 11am till 1 pm at Owen Funeral Home-Jeffersontown.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Wayside Christian Mission.
