B. Michael “Mike” Manzo, Jr, a retired teacher with Medford Public Schools died peacefully at his home on Cape Cod. He was 94. Mr. Manzo was born and raised in Medford, the son of the late Baldo and Teresa (Lentino) Manzo. Mike was a student athlete at Medford High and was recruited for Notre Dame University’s Football team upon graduation. Mike played at Notre Dame and graduated in 1945. Upon return from Indiana, Mike embarked on a long career teaching math and history at the Hobbs Junior High School in Medford. He also was the proprietor of Mission Trophy in Arlington until retiring and turning the business over to Joseph Barletta. Mike and his late wife Marie lived in Arlington for many years. Mike retired to Centerville on Cape Cod. He was a devoted family man and a loyal alumnus of Notre Dame and a life-long member of the Monogram Club.
