Reginald F. Steele 83, of Natick died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick.
He was the beloved husband of the late Florence l. (Corrigan) Steele who died in 2012 after sharing 52 years of marriage.
A Natick resident for 44 years he was born in Boston the son of the late James and Anne (Smith) Steele.
Mr. Steele was a Firefighter for the Town of Brookline serving 30 years, retiring in 1992.
He also worked part time as a landscaper, a job which he continued as a hobby after retirement.
He was a member of the Natick Elks, enjoyed pro sports, particularly the Bruins, and was a loyal fan of Natick High School sports teams.
Mr. Steele was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean War Era.
He was devoted to his family and especially cherished his grandchildren.
He is survived by three sons Reginald J. Steele and his wife Susan of Shrewsbury, Joseph F. Steele of Natick, Derek C. Steele and his wife Linda of Framingham, grandchildren Victoria, Catherine, Leah, Robert, Logan, Kailey Grace, one great –grandson Aiden, a brother Richard Steele of Weymouth a sister Lucille Quinn of Dedham, and former daughter in law Jen Kelley Toomey of Shrewsbury.
He was also the father of the late Robert C. Steele, grandfather of the late Sinead Steele and brother of the late James, John and Donald Steele and Mary Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Monday, December 15th at 12:00 Noon in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
Visiting hours are Monday Morning beginning at 10:30 A.M. prior to the Service.
