Auburn – Vincent A. Tassone Jr., 86, of Auburn, died on Thursday, December 4th in the Knollwood Nursing Center after an illness.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marion J. (Langer) Tassone; two sons, Matthew Tassone of Auburn and his best friend, Stephanie Masiello as well as Christopher Tassone and his long time companion, Christina Hoernke of Auburn; two daughters, Lisa Young and her husband Steven of Auburn and Mary Tassone Kaizer and her husband Edward of Wilmington, MA; 3 sisters, Mary Richards and Viola Tassone both of North Adams and Madeline Paciorek of Adams, MA; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many nephews and nieces.
Vincent was born in North Adams, son of the late Vincent and Margaret (Morocco) Tassone. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Champlain University in New York and served in the United States Army.
Mr. Tassone worked as the purchasing manager for Sprague Electric for many years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed many things, however, a couple of his favorite things to do was gardening and playing tennis.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 13th at 11 AM in North American Martyrs Church 8 Wyoma Dr. Auburn.
