Ruth Pauline Hall, 90, of Medford passed away on December 8, 2014. She was the beloved Aunt of Deborah Hall Hutchinson of Mashpee, MA and J. Stevens Hall and his wife, Patricia, of Athens, GA. She is also survived by 6 grand nieces and nephews and 15 great grand nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Tufts University in 1946 with a BS degree in Education. In 1950, she completed a 16 month graduate program in physical therapy sponsored by Harvard Medical School and Simmons College. In the first 6 years of her career, she worked primarily with polio victims. During her career, she served as an instructor in physical therapy at the University of Maryland, an assistant professor of physical therapy at Boston University and an associate professor of physical therapy at Northeastern University. She truly loved her role as a teacher and also as a senior advisor to many of her students.
She was a life member of Grace Episcopal Church where she served over the years in many capacities, including Senior Warden. Her church and her church family were an important part of her life, and Ruthie’s family would like to express their thanks and appreciation for all the love and care the church provided her.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 160 High Street, Medford, MA. on Friday, December 12, 2014, at 10 am.
