Cecilia Laprade, 99, previously of Chateau Clare, died on Friday, December 5, 2014 in the Friendly Home. Born in Blackstone, she was a daughter of the late Pierre and Florilda (Thibeault) Courtemanche. Cecilia was the wife of the late Gerard Laprade.
Primarily a homemaker, Cecilia had also worked in the textile industry as a winder for many years.
She is survived by two sons, Bertrand J. Laprade and his wife Suzanne of Kenosha, WI and Rene A. Laprade and his wife Deborah of Woonsocket, one daughter, Jeannette Cardin and her husband Robert of Harrisville, seven grandchildren, Michele Allen-Henry, Daniel Laprade, Renee Davenport, Lise Ann Tomlin, Marc Cardin, Anne-Marie Senior and Scott Laprade and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Vincent Courtemanche, Florence Iskierski and Rita Galuza and her great granddaughter, Megan Brown.
A Memorial Libera Service will be held on Monday, December 8th at 10:00AM in Precious Blood Church, 94 Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket. All other services are private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fournier and Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket.
