George Payne Campbell,of Plymouth formerly of Weymouth, died on December 5th at Beth Israel – Plymouth at the age of 69. He is survived by his beloved wife Frances (Logan) Campbell of Plymouth, his daughter Kristen Campbell of Plymouth and his son Brian Campbell and his wife Jennifer of Sharon. He also leaves his cherished grandchildren Lucas and Adeline Campbell, his brother Eugene P. Campbell and his wife Maureen of Weymouth and many nieces and nephews.
George was born in Boston and graduated from Northeastern University. He joined the U.S. Navy and served during Vietnam. George was a software engineer for EMC and enjoyed kayaking, fishing and especially spending time with his family.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 8th from 4 to 8 PM at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at St. Bonaventure’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. A private burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd, Suite 1010, Rockville, MD 20852-9813
