João T. Medeiros, age 79 passed away December 3, 2014. Born in San Antonio, Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of Isaura (Chaves) Medeiros and son of the late José Tavares Medeiros and Maria do Carmo (Frias) Medeiros. He was a retired machine operator at the Foxboro Co. and an active member of Espirito Santo Parish. João was an avid gardener and landscaper who enjoyed sharing his time with the elderly as well as his grandchildren.
He was the father of Dr. Michael Medeiros (wife Claudia) of Acushnet, Anna “Annie” Medeiros-Botelho (husband John) of Fall River and Christopher Medeiros (wife Kristina) of Yardley, PA; brother of Eduarda Reis of São Miguel, Açores, and the late José, Antonio and Natalia Medeiros and Maria do Carmo Aguiar. He also leaves grandchildren Nathaniel and Dahlia Botelho and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River TUESDAY at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours MONDAY 5:00-9:00 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com
