Obituary

Genna Lynne Nickerson, of Plymouth formerly of Tiverton, RI; died peacefully at home in her mother's arms surrounded by her loving family on December 2nd at the age of 22.She is survived by her mother Teresa (Fisher) Nickerson of Plymouth, her sister Cynthia Nickerson, her brother Shane Nickerson both of Plymouth her sister and brother-in-law Danielle and David Crowell.She also leaves her grandparents Janet&Terrance Fisher of CA; “Vovo” Carlene and “Papa” John Ventura of Westport and grandpa Rodman (Skip) Nickerson of Plymouth. Nancy Carignan (Tia Susan) of Westport, her uncle David and Aunt Vicky Fisher of Idaho, her aunt Darlene Nickerson of Plymouth along with her niece, nephews, and cousins.
Genna was born in Fall River and grew up in Rhode Island where she attended the Meeting Street Center in Providence and Middletown High School before moving to Plymouth where she was home schooled by her loving teacher, and friend Michele Ovalles she graduated from Plymouth South High School. She was a true princess, her favorite colors being pink and purple. She loved fashion, animals especially dragonflies, music and roller coasters. She had a contagious laugh: once she started you couldn’t help but laugh with her. Even though she was unable to speak, Genna taught everyone she met the true meaning of life. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. We would like to thank Patty Hamblin who was Genna's nurse for the past three and a half years, her nurses, wonderful doctors, Janet Duncan and the PACT team who made it possible for us to keep her home, along with Boson Children's Hospital.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 7thfrom 2 to 4 PM at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet). A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 8that the funeral home at 11 AM. Anyone attending the funeral please wear bright colors, Genna loved pink and purple. Burial will be private.
