Laconia----Madeline “Maddy” Minnon, 87, formerly of Merrimac St., died at the Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, December 3, 2014.
Mrs. Minnon was born August 7, 1927 in Laconia, N.H., the daughter of the late Leodore and Mathilda (Rodrigue) Doyon. She was a lifelong resident of Laconia and had been employed at Laconia Shoe for thirty years.
Mrs. Minnon was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Laconia Country Club and Lakeview Country Club.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Minnon was predeceased by her husband of sixty-six years, George V. Minnon, who died March 1, 2014 , by three brothers, Roland Doyon, who was killed in WWII, Armand Doyon and Wilson Doyon and by her two sisters, Yvette Maheux and Irene Leroux.
A calling hour will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 10:30-11:30AM in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.
Following the calling hour, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 Noon at St. Andre Bessette Parish, at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia, N.H.
Burial will be in the family lot in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia.
