Passed away at 49 years of age.
He was born in Cuba to Agustin Garcia and Hirma Ysaac.
Gus graduated from Northeastern University, retired from the Boston Police Department and was presently working with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office as a Homicide Detective.
He is survived by his wife, Caroline Garcia; children, Gustavo Garcia, Jr. (21), Yessenia Maldonado (19), Gianni Garcia (14) and Hirma Isabelle Garcia, AKA Beba (12); brothers, Eduardo Garcia and Ramiro Garcia; sister, Melissa Rios; nephews, Eduardo Garcia, Jr. and Eric Garcia; niece, Ofelia Garcia and his brother love, Robert Paratore.
Visiting hours in the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Friday 6-9pm.
Visiting hours will also be held on Saturday in The Mission Church Basilica and Shrine of our Lady of Perpetual Help, 1545 Tremont Street, Mission Hill 8:30am-9:30am.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow.
