VAZQUEZ, Elizabeth M. “Betty”, of Winthrop, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital on November 30, 2014. She was 71. She was the dear friend of Maryann Chisholm of Winthrop. Born in Winthrop, she was the cherished daughter of the late Kenneth and Elizabeth (Lamb) Vazquez. Beloved cousin of Terry Vazquez and his wife Pat Sullivan of Winthrop, Mary Jane Anderson of East Boston, and Elizabeth Campanaro and her husband Chuck of Leesburg, FL. Godmother of Kristin Accomando and her husband Scott and their children, Sydney and Skyler all of Rowley. Also survived by many loving friends. A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on Tues, December 9 at 5:30pm in the Robert A. DeLeo/Winthrop Senior Center 35 Harvard St. Winthrop, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty’s name can be made to the Winthrop Fire Dept. Building Fund, Center Fire House, 40 Pauline St. Winthrop, MA. 02152. Betty was employed as the clerk for the Town of Winthrop Fire Dept. She was also a member of the board for the Winthrop Council on Aging. Funeral arrangements are from the Maurice W.
