Dorothy A. (Saulnier) Lobao, 71 of Peabody, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a long illness.

Born in Lynn and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred M. and Lauretta C. (Gauthier) Saulnier. A devoted home maker, Dorothy first worked as a foster mother for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She had to leave foster care because of failing health, but always enjoyed cooking and especially baking for family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Wilson J. Lobao, III and his wife Liz of Wilmington, a daughter, Darlene M Meagher and her husband Mike of Groveland, two sisters, Claire A. Clements of Phoenix, AZ and Caroline Bernard of St. Augustine, FL. She also leaves three grandchildren, Andrew & Steven Lobao and Delaney Meagher, her Goddaughter, Christine Gould, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Timothy J. Lobao.

Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 10:00 A.M. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Salem. At the request of Dorothy there will be no visiting hours.
