Augusta, GA – Went home to be with the Lord on Monday,December 01, 2014, Mrs. Elvira Giacobone Cantey, 89, loving wife to the late Rosser O. Cantey, Jr.
Mrs. Cantey was born in Hoboken, NJ but lived in Augusta for most of her life. She was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she loved the Lord.
Family members include daughters: Patricia Mims, Kathi Lett (Jeff); sons: Robert Cantey (Tina), Russ Cantey (Nan); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her children: Lois Allen and Ray Cantey.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Greg Glover officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Michael Cantey, Jeffrey Lett, Brett Cantey, Phillip Glover, Jody Grant and Josh Granade.
