Marion (Campbell) Hendrickson, age 85, a longtime resident of Natick, died peacefully on Friday, November, 28th. Born in Manistee Michigan, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Anderson) Campbell. In 1960 she moved from Michigan to Boston to marry Elliott N. Hendrickson. They were married for 40 years before his passing in 2001.
She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Manistee High School. Marion attended Denison University where she earned a B.A. in Chemistry. After graduating she worked at Dow Chemical where she began her career in Application Development. While living in Michigan, she also worked for Chrysler in Detroit. Upon moving to Boston she worked at Honeywell for 25 years in various roles in Application Development. After her career at Honeywell she worked as a consultant up to her retirement. Marion also volunteered for the Women's Independence Network in Framingham, MA.
Marion was an avid reader who enjoyed food, travel and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by daughter Lee and her husband Tom of Hopkinton and daughter Carol of Cambridge. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Andrew and Sydney Dawson and Liv Hendrickson. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Monday December 1st from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
