Rita M. Lyons of Dennis, formerly of Canton, died peacefully November 27, 2014 after a long illness. She was 88 years old.
Devoted wife of the late Anthony J. Lyons. Loving mother Paul J. Lyons and his wife Jane of Leeds, Mark J. Lyons of Cummington, Christina Appleby of Barnard VT, Peter J. Lyons and his wife Marchella McCarthy of Yarmouthport, and the late Gerald A. Lyons. Loving sister of Lois Cody of Abington, Ruth Bauer of Weymouth, Walter Deiss of Dedham and the late William and Albert Deiss. She is survived by 9 grandchildren 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 AM Monday, December 1, 2014 in St. Gerard Majella Church 1860 Washington St. Canton. Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home 210 Sherman St, Canton, Monday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Internment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
