Everett R. “Gene” Myers, 78, of Norwood, died November 27 in the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Lois Ann (Corish) Myers for the past 54 years.
Born in Framingham, September 17, 1936, the son of the late Arno and Dorothy (Hodgdon) Myers, Mr. Myers was raised in Medfield and had lived in Walpole for many years before moving to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands where he lived and worked from 1969 until returning to Norwood where he has since lived.
Mr. Myers had been an offset pressman for the Thermo Print Company and previously worked for Regal Press.
Gene enjoyed gardening.
He served in the Navy during the late 1950’s.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Arthur Myers of Norwood and April Segreve and her husband Bob of Norwood.
He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Crosby of Spring Hill, Florida.
He was the brother of the late Eileen Morganti and Mabel Orlando.
He is also survived by his grandsons, Connor and Braden Segreve.
His funeral service will be held on Monday, December 8 in the Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main Street, Walpole at 4:00 p.m.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
