Lillian (Edge) Scanlon, 92 of Salem and formerly of Lawrence passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2014 at the Salemhaven. Lillian was born on July 3, 1922 in Chicago, IL to the late Herbert and Lillian (Smith) Edge. She moved to Lawrence with her family and graduated Lawrence High School. Following high school, Lillian attended the Macintosh School. Lillian was a proud WWII veteran, serving in the United States Navy.
Lillian was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Scanlon. She was the beloved mother of Michael Scanlon and his wife Susan of Salem, NH and Joanne Scanlon of Haverhill. She was the cherished grandmother of Joseph Scanlon of Salem. Lillian was the dear sister of the late Loraine Partridge, the late Mildred Taylor and the late Marion Lawton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
