Obituary

Robert E. Cashen, 56, died peacefully on Monday, November 24, 2014, at Seasons Hospice in Phoenixville, PA, with family by his side. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on April 9, 1958, Robert was a graduate of Pennsbury High School, Fairless Hills, PA, and attended Pennsylvania State University.

After surviving a serious car accident his freshman year in college, Robert spent much of his life adjusting to and overcoming challenges. He will be remembered for the blend of his fighting and warm spirit, sense of humor, innate strength and passion for music. He spent the last 27 years living in Chester County, Pennsylvania, supported by Remed residential services through its dedicated staff. Robert loved his community and was active in it, enjoyed riding and caring for horses, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was an outgoing and caring man, who thrived being with people.

Son of the late Robert and Dorothy (Cisternelli) Cashen, Robert is survived by his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Susan Cashen and Eric and Samantha Cashen. He was a devoted uncle to eleven nieces and nephews: Robert and his wife, Danielle, Julia, Audrey, Abigail, Erin, Jackson, Seth, Dorothy Kate, Autumn, Johannah and Mia. Robert was loved and supported by his Remed family in Pennsylvania, his many cousins, aunts and uncles and extended family throughout Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Baltimore, North Carolina, and California.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, December 6 from the Ginley Funeral Home, (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole at 9:15 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, East Walpole at 10:00.
Burial will in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 p.m.
