NATICK: Mary M. (Leacu) Corbett, age 90, a lifelong Natick resident, died on Sunday evening, November 23, 2014, at Mary Ann Morse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Leslie M. Corbett who passed away in 1986.
Born, raised, and educated in Natick, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Euridace (Zengo) Leacu. Mary started working at her parents’ grocery store, the Leacu Store on South Main Street in her youth alongside her father.
After Mary and Leslie were married, Mary retired from the store to share more time with her husband. The couple both loved to play the organ and their poodle dogs. They also enjoyed traveling together. After Leslie’s death, Mary returned to the work force as a Mary Kay Cosmetics Associate, a position she was both happy and successful with.
She is survived by her brothers, John M. Leacu of Ashland, and William M. Leacu and his wife Barbara of Ashland, her sister-in-law and dear friend Janet Martin of Natick, and sister-in-law, Kay Leacu of Newton, and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families. She was also the sister of the late Arthur M. and James M. Leacu.
Her Funeral Services will be in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick common, on Friday, November 28th at 11:00AM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Dell Park Cemetery.
