Obituary

ATTLEBORO/TAUNTON - Francisco D. Camara, longtime Attleboro resident, died at the Life Care Center of Raynham on Nov. 21, 2014.
He was 74.
Born in Madeira Island, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Ludovina (Teixeira) Camara.
He moved to Taunton as a child and attended Taunton schools, later serving in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Francisco earned an associate’s degree in business from Massasoit Community College.
Employed by the Foxboro Company in East Bridgewater for many years, he later worked for Texas Instruments before retiring at the age of 65.
He was a communicant of Attleboro’s St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
In his spare time, Francisco enjoyed taking road trips and visiting relatives and friends.
Survivors include two brothers, Manuel Camara, Jr. and Joaquim Camara both of Taunton; three sisters, Maria B. Moniz and Marie F. Camara, both of Taunton and Maria D. Cote of Attleboro; and many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews. He was also the brother of the late Joseph, John and Alfredo Camara.
His funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Nov. 26th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony Church, Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Nov. 25th from 5 to 8 p.m.
