Obituary

Gary W Roszkiewicz
May 22, 1951 to November 7, 2014
"You are my blue sky, you are my sunny day."

Gary W. Roszkiewicz, 63, a longtime resident of Ware, Massachusetts, died unexpectedly on Friday, November 7, 2014, at his much loved seaside retreat in Indian Shores, Florida, where he has spent the last four winters with his  wife of 38 years, Melissa.

Gary was born and raised in New Bedford and attended Bishop Stang High School. While attending Westfield State University, he met his future wife, Melissa Gammons, and after receiving  his Masters Degree in Education, he and Melissa were married in 1976 and made a home together in Ware.

During his 30-year career at Pathfinder Regional Technical Vocational High School, Gary advanced from English Instructor to Guidance Counselor and ultimately to Assistant Director, the position from which he retired in 2007.  He loved nothing better than cooking gourmet meals for his friends and family, entertaining on their pontoon boat on Beaver Lake, and listening to live music.

He was the son of the late Rudolph and Jeannette (Sanspitier) Roszkiewicz of New Bedford and the brother of the late Ronald Roszkiewicz. He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Melissa, his brother-and sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, as well as a multitude of close friends.

A memorial service celebrating Gary's life is being planned for a future date. The details of the service  will be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association,  P.O. Box 417005, Boston  MA 02241.
