Obituary

James “Jim” H. Nicholson Jr, of Plymouth originally from Dorchester, died on November 21st at the age of 70 after a couragous battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Anne Marie (Spillane) Nicholson of Plymouth, his daughter Laura A. Dziewit and her husband Alfred of Middleborough and his son James M. Nicholson of Plymouth. He also leaves his two grandchildren, the light of his life, Maxwell Dziewit , and Sarah Dziewit. He leaves his sisters Patricia Marino and her husband Leo of Pembroke and Joan Costa and her husband Don of Dracut and his brother Peter Nicholson and his wife Beverly of Raynham. He will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jim was born and raised in Dorchester and graduated from Boston College High School. He proudly served in the U.S Navy. Studied computer science at Northeastern University, and worked in that industry for many years. In recent years, he sold real estate for Jack Conway in Plymouth. He enjoyed golf, talking with people, movies, traveling with his wife, spending time with friends and family and especially being with his grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court St (Rt 3A), N. Plymouth on Tuesday, November 25th from 4 to 8 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 26th at St. Peter’s Church in Plymouth at 10 AM. Burial will be private.
