Leoda A. (Scott) Pacheco, age 65, of Raynham passed away peacefully, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, November 22, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Martin W. Pacheco; whom she was wed for the past 46 years.
Born in Attleboro, MA on October 16, 1949, she was a loving daughter of the late Charlie N., Sr. and Lottie M. (Jones) Scott.
Leoda grew up in Mansfield and was a 1967 graduate of Mansfield High School. She also received her Associates Degree from the Windham Secretarial School in Boston.
Prior to retiring, Mrs. Pacheco had been employed as a manager for the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health in Brockton. She had made her home in Raynham for the past 42 years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Mansfield.
Leoda loved spending time with her family, trips taken with her husband Marty, tending to her flower gardens, bird watching, and she always shared a special love for her pet dogs.
In addition to beloved husband, she is survived by her devoted sons; Jamie S. Pacheco of Bridgewater and Timothy J. Pacheco and his wife Lisa of Middleboro. She was the dear sister of Pamela J. Verrochi of East Walpole, Charlie N. Scott, Jr. of Little Compton, RI, Dale W. Scott of Wareham, Valerie M. Johnson of Norton and Duane A. Scott of Pawtucket, RI. She is also survived by her cherished 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, many nieces and nephews, and her best friend “Ortiz”
Funeral services, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday, November 26th at 11:00 A.M. in the First Christian Church, 13 Otis St. West Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, November 25th from 5-8 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield.
