Elizabeth V. (Lehmann) MacQuarrie, a 60 year resident of Malden, entered into eternal life on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford following a brief illness. She was 96 years old.
Elizabeth was born in Chelsea on November 11, 1918, a daughter of the late James A. Lehmann and Catherine (Reardon) Lehmann. She grew up in Chelsea where she was educated in the Chelsea Public School system and graduated from Chelsea High School. Elizabeth worked as an operator for New England Telephone Company for several years earlier in her life and then became a secretary for many years for the Teamsters Union Local # 841. She enjoyed spending her summers with her family at their summer home in Northwood, New Hampshire.
Elizabeth is the beloved wife of the late Charles A. MacQuarrie Jr. She is the devoted mother of Jane Hagen and her husband Linwood of Melrose and James R. MacQuarrie and his wife Connie of Reading. She is the loving Grandmother to Susan Hagen of Texas, Michael Hagen of Swampscott, Karen Croteau and her husband Richard of Reading and her 4 great-grandchildren; Andrew, Charles, Lilyann and Emily.
Elizabeth's Funeral Services and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett will be private.
