Divinia R. DeBurgo, 35, of New Bedford passed away Tuesday November 18, 2014 suddenly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Dona (Rose) DeBurgo and the late Daniel Santos DeBurgo, she lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Divinia was employed as a home health aide.
She was an honors graduate of the Salter School in New Bedford, where she was on the Dean's List.
She was a very loving and generous person.
She is survived by her son, Jaizeah DeBurgo; her mother, Dona and longtime companion, Tomas Reyes; her brothers, Daniel DeBurgo, Jr. and Devin DeBurgo; her grandparents, Pedro and Maria DeBurgo; and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was the granddaughter of the late Johnnie Mae Rose and Frank Rose.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 9 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 4-8 PM.
