Rev. Harvey C. Boyd, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, November 20, 2014, Rev. Harvey C. Boyd, Sr., 92, loving husband to the late Marguerite Boyd.
Rev. Boyd was a member of Mann Memorial United Methodist Church. He served 2 years in World War II as a Pharmacist in Saipan and Okinawa. He retired as a Minister from North Georgia Conference United Methodist Church.
Family members include his daughter: Nancy Boyd Dickson of Lawrenceville, GA; son: Gerald H. Boyd and wife Rhonda of Evans, GA; and grandchildren: Megan Comer and husband Mike, Hayley Clay and husband Hank, Aaron Boyd, and Brian Boyd and wife Ashley. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his son, Harvey C. Boyd, Jr.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Bernard Sonny Mason officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 P.M. in Rose Hill Cemetery in Winder, GA.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, 2705 Milledgeville Rd., Augusta, GA 30904.
