Carlo E. Gubellini, a longtime resident of Wilmington passed away peacefully at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility following a lengthy illness, November 18, 2014. He was 92. Carlo was the beloved husband of the late Anita (Dionne) Gubellini. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Joseph and Marcella (Lodi) Gubellini.

Carlo was raised and educated in Boston. He was a graduate of Boston Latin High School, Northeastern University and received his Master’s Degree in Business from Boston University. He dedicated his life to higher education and retired from Northeastern University where he was a dedicated and well respected professor of business for almost forty years co-authoring many text books used for study. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and honorably served his country as an officer lieutenant from 1942 to 1946 and since his early childhood he kept his personal memoires that he wrote all the way through his time in the service. Carlo was also very civically active in Wilmington for many years. He was a former member of the Town of Wilmington's Finance Committee and the Library Committee to name a few. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Thomas Church where he served as a lector and also volunteered in helping with the bookkeeping for many years.

Carlo was a very talented man and in his leisure time he enjoyed music, playing the violin and organ. He enjoyed painting and being the hands-on kind of guy he was, he never backed away from any construction project around the house big or small. He loved nature and being outdoors working in the garden, going fishing and in years past raising chickens and rabbits. However his greatest joy was family and nothing gave him more pleasure than being a great provider and example to his family which he was most proud of. He will be sorely missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife, Carlo is predeceased by his son; Eric J. Gubellini, and his sister; Mary Ellen Gubellini.
