Obituary

Timothy M. Miller, age 60 of Brockton formerly of Avon, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center on Saturday November 15, 2014. He was the loving husband of Monica R. (Otts). Tim was born in Boston and raised in Avon and was the son of the late Boyd J. and Patricia (Joyce) Miller. Tim was a graduate of Avon High School and was a New England All Star basketball player at that time. Following graduation he joined the US Marine Corp serving six years; reaching the rank of Staff Sargent. He was employed for many years as a Silk Screen Printer for the former Colonial Label and McPress Silk Screen Printing Inc. in Brockton. Tim was an enthusiastic sports fan and especially enjoyed football. From 1996 thru 2010 he and his wife Monica were dedicated foster parents to 13 young girls; trying to be strong and important examples of a loving family, offering much needed guidance. As support for the Bill W cause, Tim made himself available to help wherever needed. He is remembered as a family man who loved his children and grandchildren, who gave him so much joy.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his three children; Shanna Lovell-Miller, Jennifer Miller and Kenneth P. Miller all of Brockton; three grandchildren Ryan and Harley Lavoie and Bella Carlozzi. His siblings; John of CO, Robert of CA, Thomas of Harwich, Russell of Avon, Patricia Kelley of Norton and Alice Miller of CT as well as many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late James and Joseph Miller.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton on Saturday November 22, 2014 from 10-1pm, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 1pm.
