Mary (Soares) Moniz, age 86 passed away November 15, 2014. Born in Santo António alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of Norberto Duarte Moniz and daughter of the late Joao Oliveira Soares and Teresa de Jesus (Martins) Soares. She came to Fall River in 1944 and worked at Essex Mfg.
Mary was the mother of Nancy Trainor (husband Robert) of Fall River and sister of Henrique and Joao Oliveira Soares of Fall River and Alfredo Oliveira Soares of Canada, Alice Soares Oliveira of Westport and Theresa Soares Correia of Canada. She also leaves 1 grandson Zachary Trainor) (wife Katherine Chasteen) and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Antonio and Jose Oliveira Soares.
