Nina L. Ostrum (97) died November 16th in the Guardian Center, Brockton. She was the wife of the late Paul Ostrum.
She was born in Brockton daughter of the late Augustino and Eleanor C. (Baptiste) Asci and resided here the past 10 years coming from Las Vegas. Nina was a casino attendant at various horse racing events. She followed her husband who was a horse trainer throughout the country. She worked and attended many Kentucky, Saratoga and Hialeh Horse Racing Derbies. During her career she associated with various marquee movie stars and was well known and liked.
She is survived by 3 nephews, Walter and Frederick Mehl both of Brockton and William Mehl of W. Bridgewater, 3 nieces, Mary A. Huston, Patricia A. Charbonneau both of Brockton and Barbara Deveney of W. Bridgewater, sister of the late Camille Mehl.
Graveside Services will be held in Calvary Cemetery Wednesday November 19th at 12 noon.
