RAYNHAM – Edna P. (Welch) Parrett, wife of Ray Parrett of Raynham, died at Brockton Hospital on Nov. 7, 2014.
She was 64.
Born in Edenton, North Carolina, NC, she was the daughter of the late Nixon and Beaulah (Skinner) Welch.
For many years Edna was employed as a claims adjuster for the Aetna Insurance Company in Brockton.
She also owned and operated a small business dealing in artificial floral arrangements and party planning.
For the past fourteen years, Edna battled kidney disease and became very involved in organizations founded to help those inflicted with kidney problems.
In her spare time, she enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader.
In addition to her husband of forty-five years, Edna leaves three sons, Terry Parrett of Brockton, Raymond Parrett and his wife Jeannette of Brockton and Keith Parrett and his wife Tania of Taunton; a brother, Earl Roberts of Philadelphia; two sisters, Ruth Plowden and her husband Rod of Colorado and Roslyn Roberts of North Carolina: seven grandchildren, Victoria, Tinna, Talia, Leah, Raya, Kayla and Samantha; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Mildred Thompson.
Funeral services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Saturday, Nov. 15th at 10:30 a.m.
Burial will follow at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The family will be receiving visitors from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.
