Obituary

David E. Piche, 56, of Brockton died Tuesday at home. Born in Brockton he was a son of the late Gerard A. and Fernande M. (Bessette) Piche. A lifelong resident of Brockton, David was employed in the local construction industry for several area firms and later as a self-employed contractor. In his younger years David was noted for his athletic ability and innate knack for carpentry.
David will be remembered for his easy going manner, roaring laugh and kind-hearted ways. David deeply loved his family and friends and was known to always side with the underdog in any situation.
David is survived by two brothers Richard Piche of Stoughton and Norman Piche and his wife, Donna, of Pembroke, a niece Melissa Luongo of Canton and two nephews Michael Piche of Alexandria, VA and Alex Piche, on active service in the U.S. Navy, currently stationed in Hawaii. David is also survived by his companion Karen Karnes of Brockton, an aunt Rita Lacouture of Brockton and an uncle Raymond Bessette of Granville, NY. He was predeceased by many aunts, uncles and several cousins. He is also survived by his extended family of many cousins and their families and friends.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Route 123) Brockton on Sunday from 2-5 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8:00 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Christ the King Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery will be at a later date.
