Philescene "Phil" Supple
1917-2014
Our beloved mother, Phil Supple, passed away on November 6, under the gentle care of Sisters Servants of Mary at Mary Health of the Sick Nursing Home in Newbury Park, where she had been a resident since April 2011.
Phil Supple was born in Minnesota to John and Ann Kulot on August 5, 1917. The family moved to Southern California in the late 1920's where she attended High School and Junior College. In 1939 she married the love of her life, Thomas Supple and began their family that included five sons. In 1949 they moved to the San Fernando Valley where they were active as charter members of St. Cyril's Catholic Church and sent their five sons to Notre Dame High School. Phil was active with the Altar Society at ND.
Phil and "Old Tom" moved to Ventura in 1965 and enjoyed their years as original owners in the Ventura Keys. They were members of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Assistance League and a volunteer at their Thrift Store.
Phil was preceded in death by her husband, Tom in 1995 and is survived by her five sons: Thomas (Margaret), Terry (Sandra), Stephen (Judy), Kevin (Sunny) and Rory (Chris), and her sister, Bonnie. In addition, she had ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, many nephews and nieces...all of whom adored her.
Funeral Services are at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Ventura Monday November 24, at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mary Health of the Sick Nursing Home, 2722 Theresa Drive, Newbury Park 91320 or your favorite charity.
