Vera C. Dexter of Whitman, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 11th. She was the loving wife for 65 years of the late Robert J. Dexter.
Vera was born in New Brunswick, Canada and emigrated to Whitman in 1943 where she met her future husband.
Vera’s husband was the owner of Oscarson’s Upholstering Company of Whitman where Vera helped run the family business.
Vera was also a member of the First Congregational Church of Whitman where she taught Sunday school in her early years.
She is survived by her loving daughters: Sharon D. Murray married to Dennis of Whitman, Jill S. LeBlanc, partner of Dr. John O’Brien of Carver and Hingham. Grandmother of Sara M. Deeb married to Michael of Bridgewater and Laura B. Murray of Whitman. Great-grandmother of Madison G. Deeb and Crewe R. Deeb of Bridgewater. Proceeded in death by her son-in-law Richard E. LeBlanc.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, November 14th at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 at the rotary) Whitman. Interment will follow in the Fern Hill Cemetery, Hanson, MA. There will be no visitation hours.
